The whole of the world has been on edge ever since it was confirmed that the US and Israel had bombed Iran at the end of February, with both Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu suggesting that their aim was to rid Iran of any nuclear weapons, despite the Middle Eastern country insisting that they don't have any. 

Throughout the month of March, war has been raging on, with several soldiers killed in the conflict while a bomb also struck an Iranian girls school, killing almost 170 people, many of whom were girls between the ages of seven and 12. It was the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei which perhaps caused the most outrage however, with his son succeeding him recently, while Trump suggested that assassination attempts against him had failed by comparison. 

Although the president recently suggested that the US would be leaving Iran 'very soon', the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz is continuing to cause issues for the rest of the world, with no end in sight after Trump claimed that allies should 'get their own oil'.

And now he looks set to deliver the latest news on the conflict to the US population at 9pm Eastern Time, causing a literal blackout on all TV networks to ensure that his message properly gets across, which suggests that it's certainly going to be a significant one. 

It will be broadcast live across all four major US networks, CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox, beginning at 9pm ET, which means that shows such as The Masked Singer and Survivor will be interrupted, while talk shows such as The Late Show and The Tonight Show have been pushed back, no doubt so they can react to the president's remarks. 

What will Trump say when he addresses the nation? 

White House press officer Karoline Leavitt remained tight-lipped about what the president would discuss in his 20-minute speech. But Trump's recent remarks and Truth Social posts could provide clues as to the content of his address. 

On Tuesday (31 March), he said the war in Iran would end in 'two weeks, maybe three', adding this would be the case even if Iran did not agree a peace deal with the US. Then earlier today, he wrote on Truth Social: 

"Iran’s New Regime President, much less Radicalized and far more intelligent than his predecessors, has just asked the United States of America for a CEASEFIRE!" He said, however, he would only consider it if Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz, adding: "Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!!"

Following this suggestion the war could be winding down, oil prices in the US briefly dropped below $100 a barrel, with stock prices rallying around the world. Many will hope Trump's announcement will detail how the war in Iran could end. 

But a spokesperson for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a post on X that Trump's claims the country had asked for a ceasefire were 'the delusions and falsehoods of criminals'. When CBS asked Trump what had to happen between now and the US declaring victory in Iran, he responded: "Not much. We want to clean up some ends, but we have done our job." 

Alternatively, the US president said in an interview with The Telegraph published today that he is contemplating leaving NATO. He called the alliance a 'paper tiger', and said the US pulling out was 'beyond reconsideration'. His frustration largely stems from what he feels is his NATO partners' unwillingness to help him reopen the Strait of Hormuz. This is something else we may hear more about this evening. 

Can Trump leave NATO? 

Trump can pull the US out of NATO - but it won't be easy. He'll need the support of two-thirds of Congress to exit the alliance, thanks to a law introduced in 2023. Taking the US out of the treaty after 77 years may well be a hard sell for the president.  It's not the first time Trump has butted heads with NATO, as his oft-discussed plans to annex Greenland are made all the more awkward by the fact that Denmark, which owns the island, is a NATO ally. 

Of all the NATO members, Trump has singled out the UK for its unwillingness to become embroiled in the Iran conflict, but prime minister Keir Starmer suggested this morning that the UK wouldn't be getting involved in the conflict under any circumstances.

His response was: "I would say [it’s] beyond reconsideration." The world leader brutally added, "I was never swayed by NATO. I always knew they were a paper tiger, and Putin knows that too, by the way." He also slammed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and hit out at Britain's military after the refusal to back America in the war with Iran. 

“You don’t even have a navy. You’re too old and had aircraft carriers that didn’t work,” he said. Trump's words came just hours after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed that the US will ‘re-examine’ its relationship with NATO. The official told Fox News: "If now we have reached a point where the NATO alliance means we can’t use those bases to defend America’s interests, then NATO is a one-way street. 

"If NATO is simply about us having troops in Europe to defend Europe, but when we need them to allow us to use their military bases, their answer is no – then why are we in NATO?” And during a cabinet meeting last week, Trump said the war in Iran is a 'loyalty test' and hit out at NATO allies for not stepping up. 

As reported by C-SPAN, he demanded: “They weren’t there. So if there’s ever a big one … I don’t think they’re going to be there.” 

So, if he sticks to his word and pulls America out of NATO, what exactly would happen? Firstly, for context, NATO, aka the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, is a political and military alliance made up of 32 members that was established in 1949. As per its website, the core purpose of NATO 'is to safeguard the freedom and security of its member countries and their one billion people'. 

Its members are also 'committed to protecting each other from any threat'. A 2024 article in Modern Diplomacy outlines that if allies and partners of the US can’t count on them to be there, America will lose access to many military bases around the globe. 

Experts explain that the US needs 'bases around the world,' as 'without friendly ports, the United States Navy doesn’t look so much like a blue water force but rather a green water navy that can only operate closer to America’s shores'.

"Our bombers couldn’t reach targets halfway around the world without support from allies," the article outlines. While America can, of course, survive on its own, the US could also lose access to global markets, and it's reportedly likely that buyers for US arms will dry up, having an impact on the economy. 

And as reported by EJIL:Talk!, while the 1951 agreement doesn't explicitly state that US withdrawal would terminate it, the wording 'strongly implies that continued participation in the NATO framework is essential to its operation'. 

In 2023, the US Congress passed legislation requiring congressional permission for any withdrawal from NATO. So, there have been worries that NATO could fall altogether, in a worst-case scenario. But, as a matter of law, the treaty should remain in force for the other 31 members, despite a US departure profoundly affecting the alliance.

A book by royal biographer Hugo Vickers, however, includes a detail about Philip's long-running illness, despite ‘old age’ being listed on his death certificate, the Daily Mail reports. Titled Queen Elizabeth II, it claims Philip was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer nearly eight years prior to his passing. 

Two years after he was hospitalised in December 2011 for a blocked coronary artery, a private clinic in Marylebone was said to have detected a shadow on his pancreas. They 'cut him right across his stomach' and 'the verdict was inoperable pancreatic cancer', according to the author.

The actress, 93, reckons that casting the Euphoria star to play her was the 'totally wrong' decision. She has now announced that she 'would never' have signed off on it if it was up to her, despite Sweeney saying she was 'incredibly honoured' to portray her. 

The film Scandalous is set to delve into Novak's relationship with jazz legend Sammy Davis Jr and it will mark Colman Domingo's directorial debut. Sweeney is set to star alongside The Long Walk actor David Jonsson in the flick, although it is rumoured that production has stalled. Novak has now expressed concerns about both the casting and the contents of Scandalous in a new interview.

Describing her hush-hush relationship with David Jr, the Vertigo actress said that he 'loved' her and she 'cared for him deeply'. She then moved on to discuss why she doesn't think that Sweeney, 28, is the best woman for the job to tell this story on the big screen. 

"I would never have approved," Novak told The Times, before suggesting that the Washington-native 'sticks out so much above the waist'. The actress said she is also worried that the film will focus on the sexual aspect of her romance with David Jr, rather than the connection they shared. 

Explaining that she had 'so much in common' with the late music star, Novak went on: "There’s no way it wouldn’t be a sexual relationship because Sydney Sweeney looks sexy all the time. "She was totally wrong to play me." Sweeney, on the other hand, said she was thrilled by the prospect of playing Novak in Scandalous.

"I'm incredibly honoured to be bringing Kim to life," she told People in October last year. "I mean, she is such an amazing actress. "I think her story is still very relevant today in that she dealt with Hollywood and scrutiny with her relationships and her own private life and the control of her image.

"And I think that for me, I relate to it in a lot of different ways." She said she intended to 'turn her brain into Kim' after she had wrapped up filming for Euphoria, adding: "I'm so excited. I'm like, 'Oh my God. I'm going to meet Kim Novak'." 

Sweeney also previously discussed her struggle to feel comfortable in her body while growing up due to the size of her breasts. "I grew up with boobs," she told Us Weekly earlier this month. "I was wearing a 32DD in sixth grade, and I never felt confident. I never had anything I felt good in, and I just wanted to hide."

She said her role as Cassie Howard helped her realise 'it’s actually powerful to be confident', saying: "Our bodies are incredible. We should embrace [them] and feel really good in our skin."

She is the daughter of Fred Trump Jr. who is Trump's late older brother. Speaking on her YouTube channel, Mary Trump Media, the president's niece spoke about her uncle's personality and how it could spell trouble for the rest of the world. 

"Nobody's stopping him. But, what he's doing is what weak people do. It's also what Donald has always done. He pushes the envelope to see what he can get away with," she said. "When nobody stops him, he pushes the envelope further and gets away with more. When somebody finally does stop him, he doesn't course correct like a mature human being. He doesn't come up with a different strategy."

Mary continued, explaining that Trump's tendency to 'double down' is extremely 'dangerous'. "No, he doubles down. He quadruples down. It's extremely dangerous behaviour, especially when we're talking about somebody who has the power to bring this world to the brink of economic chaos and a war nobody but him wants," she added. 

"But it's a pattern we've seen again and again throughout his life and throughout his political career. The person who initially stands up to him eventually backs down. That gives him more room, more power, more oxygen." 

Mary also claimed that when somebody backs down from Trump, it 'emboldens' him further. She added: "To be fair, though, those moments are rare. Rarely has somebody stood up and said no in a way that sticks. But things may finally be shifting."

Most recently, the Trump administration has put together a 15-point plan to try and end the war in the Middle East. According to reports, it begins by demanding that Iran 'must dismantle existing nuclear capabilities' and 'must commit never to pursue nuclear weapons'. 

The BBC report that Pakistani officials have said the plan covers sanctions relief; civilian nuclear co-operation; a rollback of Iran's nuclear programme; monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency as well as missile limits and access through the Strait of Hormuz. 

Iran’s state broadcaster, Press TV, has claimed that Iran has rejected the proposal and outlined five conditions. These are: 

Florida-native Nicolette Keough, 31, was pictured smiling from ear to ear in her police mugshot after her arrest on March 15, which followed the owner of two Pensacola short-term rentals discovering the adult content she had allegedly filmed at their properties. 

Pensacola officer Mike Wood declined to speak on the specifics of her crime, instead saying after her arrest: “There was a young lady inside making money in a very unusual way that damaged somebody else’s property.” 

In what would be a nightmare for anyone who used Airbnb, Keough had allegedly recorded a number of videos showing herself peeing all over the homes... Including on various items that other people would use.

The videos, which were uploaded to adult sites for alleged financial gain, apparently showed the woman desecrating many ordinary household items, covering everything from coffee makers and toasters to typewriters and record players with urine. 

The owner of the property said that their suspicions were first raised after they walked through the front door and were greeted by a strong and unpleasant smell, according to WFLA. After reviewing the videos and apparently discovering that even antique chairs and an electric fire had been ruined by wee, the Pensacola Airbnb landlord estimated the damage caused to just one property was $3,980.

They claimed that Keough had stayed at another of their rentals on the same road, North Guillemard Street, and that a police report indicated another $1,375 in damage, with urine found on rugs and even on an accent wall. She was later released on a $5,250 bond. 

The adult content creator, who advertises on her subscription profiles 'I LOVE to PEE Outside and more', was arrested on a felony criminal mischief charge and released on bail after initially being booked into Escambia County Jail.

Keough has since been banned from Airbnb, and the property owners must now seek redress through the platform for the damage allegedly caused to several items in each home. Airbnb said in a statement: “This kind of behavior has no place on Airbnb. 

We’ve removed the guest from our platform and are continuing to assist the host with their reimbursement request through our AirCover damage protection for hosts. “Property damage incidents during Airbnb stays are rare, and our hosts are backed by our 24/7 global Community Support and AirCover, which are included with every reservation.”

The country music star, 64, famously portrayed Robby Ray Stewart for five years, playing the on-screen father of his real-life daughter, Miley Cyrus. Miley portrayed both the titular character and a fictionalised version of herself, Miley Stewart, on the show until its conclusion in 2011. 

The actress was accompanied by several Hannah Montana alums in Los Angeles to promote the one-off episode, in which the group visited their old set and reminisced on some behind-the-scenes highlights. This included Miley's secret romance with fellow Disney child star Dylan Sprouse. 

Despite appearing in the anniversary special, Billy Ray failed to appear alongside his daughter on the red carpet on Monday (23 Mar).

According to Trump, they are having 'very good and productive conversations', with Iran even gifting him 'a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money'. But if you listen to Iran, they have accused Trump of 'negotiating with himself' and sending 'backstabbing' emissaries. 

Now, the United States has issued its first outline of a 15-point plan to end the war in the Middle East, according to two regional sources and a US official. Trump confirmed the 15 points earlier this week and previously expressed optimism about the two nations reaching an agreement. 

"They’re not going to have a nuclear weapon. That’s number one. That’s number one, two and three," Trump said on Monday (23 March), adding that Iran had agreed to that point. "They will never have a nuclear weapon."

Other elements of the proposed peace plan, as reported by Al Jazeera, include a 30-day ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, limits on the range and number of Iran's missiles, Iran ending its support for regional proxies such as Hezbollah and Hamas, and a commitment for Iran to let the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) monitor its nuclear infrastructure. 

But Iran's state broadcaster Press TV reports, citing a 'senior political-security official', that Tehran has rejected a US proposal to end the current war, calling the conditions 'excessive'. 

"The official with knowledge of the details of the proposal, speaking exclusively to Press TV, said Iran will not allow US President Donald Trump to dictate the timing of the war's end," the outlet reported earlier today (25 March). While the outlet does not identify the official or give a title, it says they stated: "Iran will end the war when it decides to do so and when its own conditions are met."

According to Press TV, the official outlined five conditions, including: 

 As per Press TV, the official emphasised that Tehran would continue to inflict 'heavy blows' on the enemy until its demands are fulfilled. 

"According to the official, Washington has been pursuing negotiations through various diplomatic channels, putting forward proposals that Tehran views as 'excessive' and disconnected from the reality of America's failure on the battlefield," the outlet continued. It added: "Iran has communicated to all intermediaries acting in good faith that a ceasefire is contingent upon the acceptance of all of its conditions."

The official reportedly declared: "No negotiations will be held prior to that. "The end of the war will occur when Iran decides it should end, not when Trump envisions its conclusion." 

The US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran late last month (28 February), killing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the attacks, which went on to trigger hundreds of retaliatory missiles and thousands of drones from Iran across the region. 

Iran’s retaliatory strikes were targeted across the Gulf at American allies and bases, striking countries such as Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Over 3,000 people have been killed in Iran as the war continues.

The former model, who previously posed for Playboy and was one of the many women Hugh Hefner had on his arm, has revealed she is about to start taking GLP-1 medication. A host of stars have previously shared their experiences of using the drugs, which can help people shed the pounds.

Wilkinson said she doesn't want to 'go all in' and completely change her body shape, so she intends to 'ease her way into it'. Sharing her hopes for the results, The Girls Next Door alum added: "I just want to be balanced out. I don’t really want to be skinny, but I just want to be balanced and fit in my jeans again. 

"I’m a little bit overweight at the moment, so I’m gonna start taking my weight loss shots." The main thing for Wilkinson is that she loses weight in a healthy way, as she intends to keep it off on a long-term basis.

"Longevity is the biggest word I’ve been hearing a lot lately," she said. "I think a big part of longevity is to get out and play, have fun. Smile, be in the sun." Although she's got a positive outlook on her impending GLP-1 journey, Wilkinson previously admitted that comments from critics claiming she had 'aged poorly' did get to her. 

She first shot to fame after moving into the Playboy Mansion after appearing as a 'painted girl' at Hefner's 78th birthday party when she was just an 18-year-old at the time. 

A fan-favourite on the show, Wilkinson is best remembered for her bubbly personality - which helped her land her own self-titled reality shows, Kendra and Kendra on Top. And in a recent Instagram post shared on International Women's Day (8 March), she addressed people making critical comments on the difference in her appearance these days.

"I used to use a light filter on myself but now I’m just embracing myself as it is," she captioned the selfie she uploaded. "I’ve seen many people comment saying I’ve aged 'poorly' and that is ok. I’m ok with aging 'poorly'. 

"For some reason I’m happier than I’ve ever been lately even with a little weight gain and wrinkles and I’m not going to tie my happiness again into the negative energy. "I am a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life and I hope that I can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place. 

"I was very young when I started TV and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and way less fame."

It’s not often you hear about a celebrity complaining about being let down by an airline, however, it’s also not common to learn that travel companies can split a family up just moment before boarding – despite paying premium for adjacent seats. 

In an Instagram Story post on 21 March, the actress says she and Culkin were ‘split up’ from their children, Dakota, four, and Carson, three, despite their seat reservation booking. The 37-year-old posted that the move came with ‘no warning’ and sadly occurred on a trip booked for one of her sons’ birthdays.

Calling on people to ‘never fly’ with the airline, Song’s rant was then reposted by the Home Alone star, who added to his own story: “Hell hath no fury like a Brenda scorned...” 

Song, who has been an item with Culkin since working with each other on the set of the 2017 flick, Changeland, wrote online: “I didn't know when you book your first class tickets 6 months in advanced for your family of six for your son's birthday @alaskaair can just give away your seats the morning of with no warning.” 

After the incident was posted online, E! News reported Alaska Airlines had deemed Song’s experience ‘unacceptable’ and ‘not reflective of the care we strive to deliver.’ “Traveling can be stressful, especially with young children, and we pride ourselves on being a top airline for traveling families,” a representative for the airline told the publication, adding: “We are deeply sorry for adding friction to the experience.” 

The airline company also claimed to ‘have reached out to the family to make it right,’ explaining: “We appreciate that guests have a choice in the airline they select and we take our responsibility to deliver a safe, reliable and caring experience every single time.” While this is something that might upset anyone, according to the US Department of Transportation, there are some instances where an airline is permitted to give away seats, even if they have been booked by another person.

For example, if the seat holder fails to check in at the cut off time, if the airline experiences issues and needs to move around the seating arrangement, or even if they have overbooked their flight. It's not great, but it apparently is allowed in those cases, and more. 

The celebrity couple are notoriously private people, but they do sometimes talk about the finer details of their lives. For example, Culkin has been open about what being a father means to him, after being estranged from his own dad, Christopher Culkin, for three decades. "Since becoming a papa myself I've decided to reinvent the wheel," he wrote on Instagram. 

"Other than getting an hour or two of extra sleep I try to make the day a celebration of my boys more than me," Culkin continued. "After all, they are the ones who made me a father (no offense to Brenda)." "I try to do fun things for the boys on Father's Day," he concluded. "It's a special day."

It was previously reported that the ‘Bye Bye Bye’ singer had tried to block this from happening and if that’s true, we think we can see why. And his wife, Jessica Biel, apparently is ‘not happy’ about it either as a source close to her shared her feelings on these now viral videos. Timberlake was arrested back on 18 June 2024, initially charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations. 

Famously prepping for his ‘world tour’ at the time, the 45-year-old later reached a plea deal for a lesser charge. More than eight hours of footage was released, with police bodycam recordings showing video from the stop on New York’s Long Island as well as inside the police station. 

During the recordings, Timberlake is asked if he’s visiting to which he responds that he’s on tour. “A what?” the police officer asks as the singer says: “A world tour.” Asked what he’s doing on that, Timberlake clarifies: “Um, it's hard to explain. Um, um, uh, a world tour. I'm Justin Timberlake.” 

He goes on to seemingly struggle through the ‘like really hard tests’ before being taken to the station. Shown in a arguably rather vulnerable state, a source close to Biel told PEOPLE that she is ‘not happy about the renewed attention’ the video has brought to Timberlake’s case. 

"There's a reason they pushed back on the footage being released," the source said, as they added that she finds the incident ‘stressful and would prefer to move past it’. The source added: “It obviously doesn't portray him in the best light.”

While there has been ‘some challenging moments’, Biel is apparently ‘supportive’ of her husband, who she married in 2012. “But she's also not afraid to express when she's disappointed in certain decisions,” the source said. “This was one of those moments.” 

Timberlake’s lawsuit against the Village of Sag Harbor had released a settlement, leading to this release. And in it, his lawyers argued the footage showed him ‘in an acutely vulnerable state’ and ‘would cause severe and irreparable harm’ to his reputation. However, it’s reported that the judge ruled that releasing it is not an invasion of privacy.

What we learned from the music is that Blanco apparently has a ‘big, big...heart’. Having written songs about their love story, and friendships along the way, Gomez was understandably active on social media to promote their joint effort. 

However, giving her fans an inside look into her life with the music producer proved to be a little too much, as the Come And Get It singer ended up posting more than intended. According to her fans, she accidentally showed them all a very sexy item that you probably didn’t notice. But if you take another look, you’ll understand why it set the internet on fire last year.

The 33-year-old posted a snap of herself lying on her sofa in her living room with her floor covered in sheets featuring a picture of the couple. Making the peace sign as she smiled at the camera, there are a few things that can be seen on the windowsill behind her. 

This led to one person creating a TikTok video of what they think they can see as they said: "Oh my God, what is that?” In the caption, they wrote: "No shade to Selena and Benny, I’m just a nosy fan who wants to see all the products my fav celebrities use and came across this specific product on her windowsill.

"Love that Benny is keeping our girl happy and satisfied. Loooove this couple!" In the comments, people concluded that it’s possibly lubricant gel - although it's still unclear what the bottle actually is - as someone wrote: "Y'all she talkin bout the lube.” One person praised the singer, writing: "Exactly. She’s not hiding anything and I love her for it.”

A second said: "God forbid a girl have hobbies." And a third wrote: "Yall didn’t listen to the album and it shows cause she literally told yall.” Yup. Benny’s ‘big, big, hard, heart’- Sunset Boulevard. Selena and Benny began dating in 2023 before announcing their engagement just one year later. 

Their I Said I Love You First album is their joint venture which talks about their relationship, friendships, loves and losses, and it’s such a beautiful change from her usual music – which is more pop-focused.

United States President Donald Trump has called off all military strikes on Iran after sharing a major update on the conflict.
