Nicolas Aujula is a 39-year-old hypnotherapist from the UK, and has previously claimed to have predicted the Covid-19 pandemic which swept around the world in 2020. But plagues are far from the only catastrophe that Aujula has foretold in his predictions - he also claims to have foreseen Donald Trump becoming president, and Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry separating. 

Aujula has previously said that he first discovered his psychic abilities when he was 17 years old, saying that he 'entered a deep trance state', and went on to see 'vivid flashes', including of what he claims are his own past lives. 

"In that moment, I had an overwhelming sense that I had lived many lives before and gathered countless experiences," he said, explaining that the 'life-changing' experience helped him to realize that 'death is not the end'. And now, in a strange, and possibly coincidental, development, some of Aujula's predictions for 2026 appear to have actually come to pass.

In one vision, Aujula claimed to have seen a vision of people in a queue. "I could see people trying to move forward in the queue but were pushed back, it was sad to see," he said. 

This could be indicative of an increase in restrictions on travel around the world in 2026, and well, there have been some restrictions on travel. 

In the US, Donald Trump has increased the regulations around who is allowed to travel to the country, making a visa bond on several countries around the world permanent. This means visitors from countries such as Malawi and Zambia will have to pay up to $20,000 to get a visa to the US, which will be refunded when they leave. 

Meanwhile in Europe, the European Union's Entry/Exit System (EES) was fully rolled out in April. There certainly were some long queues when the EES system was rolled out (Dursun Aydemir/Anadolu via Getty Images) The new system requires passengers to register their fingerprints and a photo, and has led to hours-long queues, in some instances tripling the time it takes to get through passport control. Meanwhile, the war in Iran continues to throw airline schedules into chaos, with flights delayed and rerouted at the last minute. 

Aliens The Pentagon released videos of a 'star shaped object' over the Yellow Sea (US Department of War) Aujula also shared a prediction for 'aliens and UFO contact'. Although no flying saucers have shown up in New York, though in fairness the year is not over yet, the US has released dossiers about encounters with UFOs. 

These included documentation that the US government had on file for years, involving footage from apparent 'close encounters' from Iraq, Syria and the UAE. 

It also included images from the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 missions, showing photos of dots in the lunar sky and radio communications from astronauts describing 'very bright particles or fragments' drifting past the window of their spacecraft. It might not be a direct encounter, but people who believe we are not alone in the universe had a whole new trove of information to go off. 

'Youth-led protests' Students supporting the 'Cockroach Movement' in Kolkata, India (Dibyangshu SARKAR / AFP via Getty Images) Another of Aujula's 'predictions' concerned a youth-led protest, and this happened in India after the papers for the exams to get into medical school were leaked. At least 21 students died by suicide as a result of the leak, and the 'Cockroach Movement' or 'Cockroach Janata Party' saw mass protests spring up across the country. 

The movement was named in a defiant reference to derogatory remarks made by Indian Chief Justice Surya Kant about young people as well as the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Exams in India for medical school are based on percentiles, and a candidate must be in a certain percentile to qualify, creating enormous amounts of pressure on students. 

Families frequently spend their savings on private tuition to get their children through the exam, so when the exams were cancelled, many students and their families found that the immense sacrifices they had made had essentially been for nothing. The protests reached such a scale that India's education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as a result. 

What else did Nicolas Aujula predict for 2026? 

Donald Trump's downfall The psychic thinks Trump could be in trouble (Aaron Schwartz / AFP via Getty Images) Aujula says he saw a vision of Trump falling while disembarking from a plane, which he took to represent his political downfall. Recent approval polls show only 35 percent of Americans approve of the president. 

But Trump, who this week shared an AI-generated 'Trump 2028' poster on Truth Social, doesn't seem overly concerned. It remains to be seen what the rest of the year brings. 

Rebel Wilson won a defamation case this year (Mike Marsland/WireImage) Aujula said he saw Hollywood being 'hit with lots of defamation cases' - which doesn't seem like the most out-there prediction. 

This year finally saw a settlement in the legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, in which sexual harassment, defamation and the orchestration of a smear campaign were all alleged. Rebel Wilson also had to fight a defamation case this year against The Deb star Charlotte MacInnes, who accused Wilson of spreading lies about her on social media. Wilson won the case. 

The hottest UK summer ever The UK has had a hot summer so far (Rasid Necati Aslim/Anadolu via Getty Images) Aujula said he had a vision where he 'felt lethargic like I was in an oven and could see a hazy orange sun'. The UK did break the June temperature record for three consecutive days with a blistering 37.7°C in southern England. 

But it's too early to say if it will be the hottest summer ever this year. The record is currently 2025, which had a mean temperature of 16.1°C, the highest since records began in 1881.
